US ethanol production rises to annualized rate of 14.66 billion gallons

In Washington, according to EIA data as analyzed by the Renewable Fuels Association, ethanol production averaged 961,000 barrels per day (b/d)—or 40.36 million gallons daily. That is up 3,000 b/d from the week before. The four-week average for ethanol production stood at 955,000 b/d for an annualized rate of 14.64 billion gallons.
Stocks of ethanol stood at 18.3 million barrels. That is a 1.9% decrease from last week and the lowest level of the year. Imports of ethanol were zero b/d, unchanged from last week. Gasoline demand for the week averaged 377.3 million gallons daily, a 15-week low. Refiner/blender input of ethanol averaged 878,000 b/d, also the lowest in 15 weeks. Expressed as a percentage of daily gasoline demand, daily ethanol production was 10.70%. That is the highest percentage since the last week of May.
