The Governor’s Office of Economic Development announced this week that it earmarked the funds for its Ethanol Infrastructure Incentive Program.

The program was initially designed to assist retailers across South Dakota by reimbursing them for costs associated with the installation of new ethanol flex-pumps. This new funding will now also help retailers expand their storage capacity for ethanol.

South Dakota Ethanol Producers president Dana Siefkes-Lewis says the Ethanol Flex-Pump Program and Storage Tank Program allow retailers to offer more choices to consumers.

Applications for both programs are being accepted until June 30.
