The measure would require E-15 to be sold at every gas station in the state starting in 2026.

Opposition groups are plastering stickers on pumps at gas stations. They say the legislation would result in higher gas prices.

Rural gas stations would have to make expensive upgrades to their tanks, causing gas prices to skyrocket.

“That infrastructure, or that cost, has to be passed on to the consumer, because there’s no other way that these retailers could absorb that without passing on that on to the consumer,” said Glenn Hasken, with Molo Companies.

Farmers support the measure, but retailers are asking lawmakers to put the bill on pause.

They say they want a measure that all stakeholders can support next session.
