As the climate changes, farmers, forestry and other groups are going to need to adapt, according to a report released on Tuesday by a coalition whose members include the Iowa Soybean Association.

The report from the 25x’25 Adaptation Work Group, a collaboration of more than 40 leaders from the agriculture, forestry, business, academic, conservation and government sectors, looked at areas such as production systems and risk management where farmers and others can adapt to climate change.

For example, in the case of research, the report suggested providing additional support for more accurate climate forecasting, examining barriers facing farmers and developing new crop management tools.
