New Century FS Fast Stop in Vinton, Iowa, is the latest to offer the fuel blend. To promote the news, the station is offering E15 at a 5ct/gal discount for April.
In 2012, EPA gave final approval for the use of E15 in 2001 and later-model-year vehicles. However, it should be noted the fuel blend is not mandatory.
“Compared to regular gasoline, E15 provides the majority of Iowans with a lower-cost, higher-octane fuel option, and we’re excited 2001 and newer vehicle owners near Vinton can reap the benefits,” said IRFA Managing Director Lucy Norton. “With more than 30 stations in Iowa offering E15 as a registered fuel, and more on the way, retailers in our state are leading the way in providing cost-conscious motorists with the most environmentally-friendly fueling option available,” she added.
“We at New Century FS and Growmark have always been supportive of renewable fuels,” said New Century FS Energy Marketing Manager Kevin DeGoey. “Offering E15 is another way to add more value to our company, renewable fuels and our customers,” he added.
The station also offers E30, E50 and E85 for flexible-fuel vehicles.
