In Kansas, perhaps unsurprisingly, ICM is looking at whether it can raise the funds and source the licenses required to upgrade the former Abengoa ethanol plant it purchased in Colwich to become a commercial demonstration facility for its technologies. Doing so would not only create an additional 50 jobs at the facility but would also make it one of the grain ethanol plants with the lowest carbon indexes in the world. The company bought the facility at auction from Abengoa for $3.1 million in August.
