Group launches campaign to secure EV tax credits

The electric vehicle industry is launching a new advertising effort to push Congress to expand the tax credits for its vehicles and infrastructure.

The campaign comes as bipartisan talks on an energy and climate package remain up in the air.

Despite holding several sessions led Energy and Natural Resources Chair Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) in the past few weeks, the group did not meet last week and it’s unclear when the lawmakers will meet again. Manchin has been a skeptic of EV tax credits (E&E Daily, April 29).
