The CFTC said John Aaron Brooks is permanently banned from registering with the CFTC and is also banned for seven years from trading any CFTC-regulated products for or on behalf of others.

Last September, the CFTC alleged that between November 2010 and October 2011, Mr. Brooks knowingly entered inflated prices of New York Mercantile Exchange Chicago ethanol Platts futures into an internal software system to conceal more than $40 million in losses.
