Ethanol production hit a new high for the year last week.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration says production averaged 1.074 million barrels a day, up 10,000 on the week, and the highest average since the week ending December 22nd, 2017. Corn for ethanol use is on pace to meet or exceed the USDA’s projection for the marketing year as the industry responds to demand expectations.

Stocks were down 115,000 barrels at 21.653 million, the lowest since the week ending June 20th.
