Brazil minister says working with U.S. on agreement to develop biofuels

SAO PAULO (Reuters) – Brazil’s energy and mining minister Benito Albuquerque said on Tuesday that it is working with the U.S. on a cooperation treaty to develop what he called “the biofuels of the world,” adding he is open to more international partnerships on the issue.

Brazil is a major producer of ethanol which is also widely used to power Brazilian cars.
