Ag secretary to make biofuels announcement in Illinois

URBANA, Ill. (AP) — Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack is scheduled to appear at an Illinois energy farm to announce a USDA initiative on renewable fuel.
Vilsack’s office says he will be in Urbana on Wednesday morning, when he will announce the states that will be included in the project. His office says Illinois will receive a multi-million dollar funding award.
Vilsack also will discuss how renewable energy could create new markets for U.S. farmers and ranchers and save Americans utility bill money among other issues.
